Picuki Alternatives for Instagram in 2026
Picuki no longer opens Instagram profiles: its address now leads to a TikTok viewer. Picuki alternatives that still work, what each one does, and their limits.

Picuki alternatives are what you need now, because Picuki itself no longer shows Instagram. When we opened picuki.com on 30 October 2026, the address redirected to TikVib, a TikTok viewer, and no Instagram search was left. If your bookmark stopped working, the site did not break for you alone: the Instagram part of it is gone. The good news is that most of what people used Picuki for still works elsewhere, as long as the account you want to see is public.
This guide explains what happened to Picuki, which job you used it for, and which alternative fits that job. Every competitor fact below was checked on the date above; sites like these change often, so treat it as a snapshot.
What happened to Picuki
Picuki was one of the best known free Instagram viewers: type a username, scroll the profile, the posts, the stories and the tagged photos, all without an Instagram account. Search interest tells the story of its decline. On Google Trends, worldwide interest in "picuki" over the last five years peaked in July 2022 and is now around 9 on that scale, down from about 74 in late 2021. A short spike in April 2026 faded within weeks.
Today the domain answers with a permanent redirect (HTTP 301) to tikvib.com, and that site is a viewer for TikTok, not for Instagram. Third-party reports date Picuki's move away from Instagram earlier, but the redirect is the part we could check ourselves. We did not find an official statement from Picuki about why.
The likely reasons are the same ones that close every free viewer sooner or later. Instagram changes how public profiles load, viewers have to rebuild their readers each time, and serving millions of free visits costs money. A free viewer earns that money from ads, so when the reading gets harder, some simply switch to a platform that is cheaper to read.
What did you use Picuki for?
Picuki did several jobs at once. The best replacement depends on which one you miss.
| What you used Picuki for | What to use now |
|---|---|
| Scrolling a public profile's posts and reels without an account | A general web viewer such as Dumpor, Mollygram or StoriesIG |
| Watching someone's public stories without appearing in their viewer list | A story viewer: the general viewers above, or SpyFollr |
| Seeing who a public account follows, and who is new on that list | SpyFollr |
| Saving a photo or video | A web viewer with a download button |
| Searching hashtags or tags | Few viewers still offer it; Instagram's own search needs an account |
Picuki alternatives that still work
Checked on 30 October 2026. All of them work with public accounts only; none of them can open a private profile, and you should be wary of any site that says it can.
Dumpor
Dumpor is the closest in spirit to the old Picuki. Its home page lists a profile viewer, story viewer and downloader, reels, highlights and tagged viewers, and a followers and following viewer, says "Public profiles only", "No login required for any tool" and describes itself as free. The old addresses of Greatfon and Smihub now redirect to Dumpor too.
StoriesIG
StoriesIG focuses on stories and highlights, with reels, posts and profile pictures as well. Its FAQ says it "can only access content from public Instagram accounts" and that it is free with no registration.
Mollygram
Mollygram offers public stories, highlights, reels, photos and profile pictures, searched by username or link, and says no Instagram login is required. Interest in it has grown while Picuki faded.
Imginn
Imginn is still online and still works as a public story viewer and downloader, but many people search "imginn not working", and its own page warns that heavy downloading can trigger temporary limits. Our Imginn alternatives guide has the details.
SpyFollr
SpyFollr is built for a narrower job than Picuki, so it is not a drop-in replacement for scrolling posts. It is a better fit if what you actually wanted from Picuki was the people side of a profile.
- Who a public account follows, and who follows it. You type a username; SpyFollr shows both lists. There is no Instagram login, SpyFollr never asks for your password, and the account you look up is not notified.
- Who is new. SpyFollr keeps a record of the accounts it has seen on each list. Next time, accounts it has not seen before are marked as new and dated the day SpyFollr first saw them. That is not the moment of the follow, which nobody outside Instagram knows, and since 9 September 2026 the order of the list itself means nothing about time (what changed).
- Public stories. The iPhone app and the web app play the active stories of public accounts. You are not signed in to Instagram, so your account never appears in their viewer list.
- Alerts. Pro re-checks the accounts you choose every few hours and sends a push alert when something new appears. See the recent follow tracker and pricing.
What SpyFollr does not do: it does not show a profile's post grid or reels feed, tagged photos, likes or comments, and it cannot open private accounts. If those were your Picuki habits, use one of the web viewers above.
How to tell a working viewer from a risky one
Free viewers come and go, and copies appear under similar names when a popular one closes. A few checks keep you safe:
- It never asks for your Instagram password. A viewer reads public pages; it has no reason to sign in as you. A login box is a reason to leave.
- It says "public accounts only". Instagram's help page on public and private accounts explains that a private account's posts and lists are visible only to approved followers. A site that promises more is not telling the truth.
- No "human verification" or app install to unlock a profile. Survey walls and downloads are how fake viewers make money.
- It shows something today. Search one public account you know. If nothing loads, or it loads stories from weeks ago, move on.
- It is honest about limits. Good viewers mention rate limits and missing features instead of promising "100% everything".
Looking at public profiles responsibly
A public profile is public by the owner's choice, and reading it is ordinary. A private one is private by choice too, and no legitimate tool gets around that. If you notice that someone does not want to be looked at, take the hint. Anyone whose public account was looked up on SpyFollr can ask not to be listed, as described in section 10 of our privacy policy.
FAQ
Is Picuki still working?
Not for Instagram. On 30 October 2026, picuki.com redirected to TikVib, a TikTok viewer, and there was no Instagram search on it.
What is the best Picuki alternative?
It depends on what you used Picuki for. To scroll posts and reels, a web viewer such as Dumpor, Mollygram or StoriesIG is closest. To see who a public account follows and who is new on that list, or to watch public stories in an app, SpyFollr fits better.
Can a Picuki alternative show private Instagram accounts?
No. A private account's posts, stories and lists are visible only to followers it has approved. A site that says otherwise is guessing, showing old data, or after your password.
Does the account owner know when I use a viewer?
Viewers like these do not sign in to Instagram as you, so your account does not appear in a story's viewer list, and Instagram does not notify anyone that their profile or lists were opened.
Why do Instagram viewers keep shutting down?
They depend on reading Instagram's public pages, which change often, and they pay for heavy traffic with ads. When reading gets harder or costlier, some close or switch platforms, as Picuki did.
